> The Process - Stages In Our Project Process
This is generally a four staged process that involves:
- Stage 1: Brainstorming your needs
- Stage 2: Design concepts
- Stage 3: Website build and testing
- Stage 4: Sign-off and launch
Each of these stages follows through into the next and once one stage is completed, we cannot then easily backtrack to the previous stage.
What we usually start with is a discussion about your overall goals with your website and what you want to achieve with that. This will then mostly lead to a plan of the scale and type of website that would best be suited for your aims and that of your companies business.
When the details of the general website plan are agreed, we would then move on to the design concept stage, where a user interface (UI) or front-end design would be prototyped and 2/3 mock designs prepared for you.
Once a UI design is agreed, we would then move on to the actual software build of the HTML/CSS framework around the UI. It should also be born in mind that a subsequent request to alter the UI design, would not usually be possible, without potentiually adding to the originally agreed time and costs for the project.
If the scale of the website build is large, then it would be usual to plan to complete the build in modules and test each module individually. But that would also depend on the interactivity between website modules to some degree.
Upon completing the design and build for the website, we would proceed to the testing of website functionality and once that is completed and you are happy, you will be asked to signoff the project and at that stage we will set a launch date for the website.
